PT Lab: Level up Public Transport for healthier & more sustainable cities in Europe with UPPER tools and resources
16 January 2025 - 10:30-12:00 - Online
This webinar will showcase how dedicated measures can improve public transport services, with a view to increase public transport ridership and user satisfaction.
The UPPER project (Unleashing the potential of public transport in Europe) supports 10 cities in Europe to implement 80 measures focused on urban space redistribution, traffic management, PT stops and facilities, multimodal digital and physical integration, user incentives and perception of PT services. The project aims to spearhead a public transport revolution that will strengthen its role as the cornerstone of sustainable mobility and innovation in cities, ultimately leading the transition towards a future of zero-emission mobility.
In this PT Lab webinar, an overview of the measures included in the project will be shared, as well as the support provided to ensure their implementation and impacts beyond the project lifetime. Budapest and Leuven will then talk about their experiences in the preparation and set up of specific measures focused on assessing PT prioritising tools and implementing a new bus system with bus corridors. POLIS will conclude on the project's legacy for future and wider public transport revolution in Europe.
