Navigating the last mile: Innovation in zero-emission urban freight
11-12 June - Brussels (POLIS Office)
We have almost reached maximum capacity for this event. If you are still interested to join, please contact Raffaele Vergnani, RVergnani@polisnetwork.eu
Urban freight transport significantly contributes to negative externalities, including greenhouse gas emissions, air pollution, road accidents, and traffic congestion. Addressing these challenges is essential for building sustainable and resilient cities.
This one-and-a-half-day workshop, jointly organised by POLIS and the Brussels Green Deal for Low Emission Logistics, and supported by ALICE and the URBANE City Platform, brings together stakeholders from local authorities, logistics operators, and the research community to explore innovative solutions shaping the future of urban logistics. It is a unique chance to showcase results, pilot activities, key outcomes from EU-funded projects and city initiatives, fostering knowledge exchange and accelerating the adoption of sustainable urban freight practices across Europe.
On the afternoon of the first day and morning of the second day, participants will have the opportunity to engage with experts and peers to discuss challenges and share best practices.
On the afternoon of the second day, site visits will allow you to see some of the innovative solutions deployed by Brussels Green Deal members in practice.
Due to seat limitations, this event is primarily addressed to POLIS, Brussels Green Deal for Low-Emission Logistics, and ALICE members. Participation will be confirmed by email.
