Urban Logistics Innovation Day and URBANE project final event
6 November 2025 - 9:00-17:00 - Barcelona (AMB headquarters)
Urban logistics faces challenges such as traffic congestion, limited space for loading and unloading, and growing environmental concerns due to emissions from delivery vehicles. Additionally, the rise of e-commerce has increased pressure on last-mile delivery systems to be faster, more efficient, and sustainable within already strained urban infrastructures.
We are pleased to announce that this edition of the Urban Logistics Innovation Day will take place in Barcelona on 6 November 2025, hosted by Area Metropolitana de Barcelona (AMB) and co-organised by POLIS, ETP-ALICE, INLECOM and EIT Urban Mobility.
We are proud to organise this event as the final conference of the URBANE project, an European project co-funded under the Horizon Europe programme. Over the past 3 years and a half, URBANE has tested and validated new tools, governance models, and smart logistics solutions that support zero-emission urban freight, promoting collaborative approaches and data-driven strategies to reduce emissions and improve urban freight flows.
It will be a unique chance to learn more about the key findings, learnings and outcomes of local pilot actions, and highlight the most promising solutions for replication. It will also open a space for public and private stakeholders, policymakers, researchers, and urban mobility practitioners to reflect upon policy, innovation, and investment pathways that can drive the uptake of sustainable last-mile delivery systems across Europe, back-to-back with the Smart City Expo / Tomorrow Mobility which is taking place between 4-6 November also in Barcelona.
