Mobilising Mobility: Cycle Highway Innovations - Thursday 17 December 2020 - 16:00-17:00
In this webinar we will learn about recent innovations in the development of cycling highways. We will hear about the lessons learned from a project which recently concluded, the CHIPS project (Cycle Highways Innovation for smarter People Transport and Spatial Planning). This project developed and promoted cycle highways as an effective and cost efficient low carbon solution for commuting towards and from urban employment poles.
We will learn about different tools available to help regions and mobility stakeholders to monitor performance and and evaluate impacts of cycle highway networks.
We will also hear about the launch of the new Dutch Cycle Highway wayfinding standards, focusing on the process in the areas of design, alignment with current wayfinding, stakeholders and executed research, that all together led to new standards for cycle highway wayfinding in the Netherlands.
This webinar is organized jointly by POLIS Active Travel and Health Working Group and the Breda University of Applied Science.
