We are pleased to announce that the Annual POLIS Conference 2025 will take place on 26 and 27 November 2025 in Utrecht, The Netherlands.

After a record-breaking edition in 2024, the POLIS Team and our Conference host and POLIS President City of Utrecht are glad to welcome you to another fantastic conference.

Utrecht is a vibrant city located at the heart of the Netherlands. Renowned as the most bike-friendly city in the world (2022), it has embraced cycling as a cornerstone of its urban mobility system.

Beyond this, the city has taken bold strides in sustainable transport with its Mobility Plan 2040, which integrates mobility with spatial planning. Key strategies include densifying areas around transit hubs, creating mixed-use spaces, and prioritising walking and cycling.

By designing safe, inviting public spaces and reducing motorised traffic, Utrecht is reshaping its urban environment for a greener future.
